MSC Aggie Cinema Subcommittees

Blockbuster Series Subcommittee: The Blockbuster Series Subcommittee is responsible for bringing the best of Hollywood movies to the Texas A&M campus on Friday nights prior to their home release! Committee members will be involved in all aspects of the movies screenings including picking the movie titles, working with distribution companies to purchase licensing rights, arranging logistics, and ushering the shows.

Arthouse Series Subcommittee: The Arthouse Series Subcommittee is responsible for bringing a wide variety of international and independent films mainly on Thursday nights. Committee members will be involved in all aspects of the movies screenings including identifying themes, selecting the movie titles, working with distribution companies to purchase licensing rights, arranging logistics, and ushering the shows.

Classics Series Subcommittee: The Classics subcommittee will be responsible for choosing the finest Classic movies Hollywood has to offer. Also, the subcommittee will be in charge of working with other organizations around campus to work on special programs together. Committee members will be involved in all aspects of the movie screening including identifying themes, selecting movie titles, working with distribution companies to purchase licensing rights, arranging locations, and ushering the shows.

Student Development Subcommittee: The Student Development Subcommittee is responsible for the development of all MSC Aggie Cinema members both academically and socially. The purpose is to:

  • Organize and plan committee retreats, field trips, and social events
  • Create and administer a Point System to encourage active participation of all MSC Aggie Cinema members
  • Communicate events, volunteer opportunities, and other committee business via email
  • Organize social events for members of Aggie Cinema
